Abstract :

Human Resource Management (HRM) has undergone significant evolution, particularly in emerging markets, transitioning from administrative roles to strategic functions that align with organizational goals and local contexts. This study employs a bibliometric analysis of 109 articles from the Scopus database (2004–2024) to explore HRM research trends, influential contributions, and thematic developments in emerging markets. Key findings reveal a growing scholarly focus on HRM practices, with 2024 marking a peak in research productivity. Influential authors and institutions predominantly originate from developed nations, underscoring the need for localized perspectives. The analysis identifies thematic clusters such as HRM practices, knowledge sharing, and region-specific challenges, emphasizing the interplay of cultural, institutional, and economic factors. Emerging markets demonstrate unique HRM dynamics, shaped by globalization, regulatory frameworks, and workforce diversity. The study contributes to HRM literature by offering insights into its evolution, identifying knowledge gaps, and proposing future research directions, including cross-cultural interactions, hybrid HRM models, and the impact of technological advancements like AI and robotics. This comprehensive review highlights HRM's critical role in fostering innovation, adapting to diverse cultural contexts, and enhancing organizational performance in emerging markets. Findings of this study offer a comprehensive view of HRM research in emerging markets, providing valuable insights and implications for researchers and practitioners.
